Anuj Sampat
Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Anuj Sampat is a senior embedded software engineer at NK Labs. He has extensive experience in designing and developing firmware at the bare metal, device driver, protocol, and application level, and working with various Real Time Operating Systems, microcontrollers, and embedded toolchains.
At NK Labs, Anuj has been involved with driver development for various I2C and SPI based devices, including accelerometers, RFID controllers, touch sensors, battery fuel gauges and chargers, and haptics. He has developed application firmware for RTOSes such as FreeRTOS and RTEMS, and worked with the STMicroelectronics and the Apollo Ambiq series low power microcontrollers. Prior to joining NK Labs, he worked with Qualcomm (formerly Oak Technology/Zoran Corporation/Cambridge Silicon Radio) in Burlington, MA. As a part of the research and development group at Qualcomm, he developed firmware for various technologies such as XHTML Print, UPnP, multi-protocol print support for networked printers, application firmware and the VxWorks BSP and Ethernet driver for Qualcomm's ARM based 4230 SoC. He also worked on Qualcomm's cloud based and driverless print solution for printing MS Office files from mobile phones, during which he gained experience with XML parsers and Amazon’s AWS platform.
Anuj is fond of the ocean and is an avid open water swimmer and scuba diver. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
