Nick Brennan
Senior Mechanical Engineer and Business Developer
Nick Brennan is a senior mechanical engineer at NK Labs. He has experience with medical devices, biomechanics, and robotic systems. Aside from his engineering work, Nick also manages external project leads, runs the NK Labs website, and oversees NK's marketing efforts.
At NK Labs, Nick has worked on multiple robotic systems and components for a variety of commercial and industrial uses. He also designed and constructed test fixtures for 60 hp motors and developed novel haptic interfaces. Additionally, Nick has spent several years developing various medical devices for commercial use with LeMaitre Vascular, Inc. and Farm Design, Inc., as well as for academic use with Dr. Sandra Shefelbine at Northeastern University. During his time at Boston Engineering Corporation, he worked to advance their robotic systems, including Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), for industrial and defense applications.
Nick enjoys machining and has eight years of shop experience beginning with his time in the FIRST Robotics community. He likes to travel and hike in his free time and has a working proficiency in Spanish. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Biomechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
