Electrical Engineer: Hardware Design

We are looking for an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be well-versed at determining system requirements, drawing block diagrams, selecting components, writing specifications, analog and digital circuit design, layout, and PCB bring-up and debugging in the lab. The position involves working with an internal interdisciplinary team and external customers to define, execute, and test the product. The candidate should have a solid theoretical understanding of the fundamental principles of electrical engineering, practical experience designing and building systems, and a willingness to get their hands dirty in the lab to solve problems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create block diagrams and select components for analog and digital circuits

  • Embedded hardware design using microprocessors, microcontrollers, DSP and FPGA

  • Design power supplies, amplifiers, and signal conditioning circuits

  • PCB schematic capture and documentation, PCB layout, PCB bring-up

  • Validation and troubleshooting of prototypes



  • Mixed-signal and power circuit design experience

  • Familiarity with high speed digital design, controlled impedance, crosstalk, signal integrity, layout, and grounding techniques

  • Experience with communication protocols (e.g. USB, I2C, PCI, SDIO, TCP/IP, WiFi, etc.)

  • Experience with embedded programming in C

  • Excellent communication, computer, reporting, and analytical skills

  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.



  • Experience with Altium Designer

  • Experience designing printed circuit assemblies for high-volume production

  • Experience with UL Listing, CE Marking
